Obtaining
Secret coats can be configured via the server config. If disabled secret coats can only be acquired via summon commands.
Solitaire is a secret coat and can only be acquired via a specific item obtained from a multi-step process.
[SPOILER] Solution
Warmer & Cooler Eggs
Craft a Warmer Egg with 1 Egg, 1 White, Light Gray, Brown, Yellow, Orange, Red, Pink and Magenta wool block.
This is a shapeless crafting recipe so it can be placed in any order.
Craft a Cooler Egg with 1 Egg, 1 Gray, Black, Blue, Cyan, Light Blue, Green, Lime and Purple Wool.
This is a shapeless crafting recipe so it can be placed in any order.
Rainbow Egg
Craft a Rainbow Egg by combining the Warmer and Cooler Eggs.
Rainbow Chic
Place a Rainbow Egg in a brewing stand powered with blaze powder and equipped with 3 Water Bottles. This will produce 3 bottles of Rainbow Chic.
Dehydrated Rainbow
Smelt a Rainbow Chic bottle in a furnace to produce 1 Dehydrated Rainbow.
Rainbow Sweet Feed
Combine Sugar and Dehydrated Rainbow to craft Rainbow Sweet Feed.
Rainbow Heavy Feed
Combine Wheat and Rainbow Sweet Feed to craft Rainbow Heavy Feed.
Rainbow Dry Feed
Combine a Bucket and Rainbow Heavy Feed to make Rainbow Dry Feed.
Final Step
The last step in obtaining the Solitaire coat is to acquire Rainbow Din Din. This can only be achieved by holding Rainbow Dry Feed in hand while it is raining, which will convert it to the Din Din. Right clicking a horse with this Rainbow Din Din will turn them into the Solitaire coat.
Trivia
The Solitaire coat was one of only two original secret coats created and implemented into the mod during late alpha / early beta testing. For much of beta testing, these coats were unobtainable to preserve the secret of their appearance and existence so the wider SWEM community could share in the experience of finding and creating them (protecting secrets until release).
To date they remain the only coats with a complex multi-step process to acquire, rewarding the player with a stunning magical rainbow splashed horse coat.
