Landclaim

Plots

There are designated plots, setup as neighbourhoods, on the VIP server flatworld that you can use to build and play on. They are 176x176 (112 chunks). Each neighbourhood has 20 plots, a communal hub and waystone.

Assigned Plots

Plots are manually assigned to each VIP on the flatworld dimension. By default, everyone gets one plot at a designated location.

  • VIPs pledging more than the lowest tier can claim an additional plot per $5 pledge up to a total of 10 plots.
    • Extra plots are owned monthly and can increase or decrease depending on your pledge.
    • All additional plots will be connected together.
    • Additional plots are not assigned by default - contact us to claim ASAP.
  • Originally assigned plots will not be cleared unless the player is inactive for 30-60D (see below)
  • Plots can be relocated on request:
    • Requesting to live near a friend or cooperative group (no more than 1 relocation per month)
    • Extra plots are owed and expansion is not possible at the current location.

There is also a Survival Dimension with natural terrain spawn that players can claim and build on without a plot, however it should be noted that no World Edit requests will be fulfilled in this area and players will be entirely responsible terraforming and building without assistance. Players can use their chunk claim limit to protect their survival world if they chose to do so.

Other dimensions may have their own specific rules - players will be able to view those rules on joining the dimension.

Rules

  • ALL land within the plot must be claimed by the owner to protect the builds. You should not just claim the perimeter.
  • You must not claim any additional unapproved plots - these claims will be removed and demolished without notice.
  • You must not claim the plots of ex-VIPs (w/wo consent) - Ex-VIP plots can be removed at any time after 30-60D.
  • You must not build over onto claimed or unclaimed plots, nor edit the colored perimeter of any plot but your own!
  • You must not build on, claim or edit the roads surrounding yours or others plot.
  • You can ally other players using FTBTeams to give others permission to build on your plots (see below).

If you own extra plots you will have to downsize or request a schematic if decreasing your monthly pledge ($5/plot)

You should not claim land anywhere outside of marked and assigned plots in the residential zone or survival dimension.

How to Claim

SWEM uses FTBChunks mod to allow players to claim their property. When claimed, another player cannot alter anything on the property without being in a team with you OR depending on your property settings. Each player's claim will be a random colour and can be viewed on both the FTB world and minimap.

Initial claim limit will be 121 chunks - enough to claim one plot (flatworld). VIPs who own extra plots will get extra claim chunks to protect those plots.

  1. Stand on your plot, somewhere near the middle if possible.
  2. Open the FTB Chunks map - by default this is M but you may need to adjust your keybinds if using Xaeros too.
  3. Select the grid icon in the top left corner of the map, this will show the area around you.
  4. Claim: Left clicking a square (chunk) will claim it an area that is unowned.
  5. Remove Claim: Right clicking a square (chunk) will unclaim an area if you own it.
  6. Claim all areas within the perimeter of your plot (marked with concrete)
  7. You may need to stand elsewhere if you couldn't view the whole plot area and need to claim more.

If a chunk already has a colour, it is claimed. You cannot claim or unclaim chunks owned by other players (unless CV+)

Creating & Managing Teams

SWEM uses FTBTeams to allow players to form teams and entrust other players on their property. Having a team also allows you to adjust default settings on whether players can or cannot do something on your property without being a team member.

Cooperative Teams

We do not advice forming multi-person teams with the current plot setup, and suggest allying users instead on your personal team plot. This will allow them to do whatever your settings permit, but you will not share chunks. Note that if you do decide to team up, the following applies:

  • The plot belongs to whoever is officially assigned it, regardless of the active 'claim' on it.
  • If there are any disputes, the team must disband or separate and plots return to their original owners.
  • The builds on each plot regardless of who built them, will become property of that plot owner
    • So do not build something on another's plot unless you're prepared to forfeit it in a dispute.
    • If they decide to remove the build, use it or give it back to whoever wants it - that is their choice.
    • Horses belong to whoever their named owner is, with no exceptions - same with tameable pets.
    • Equally staff are NOT obligated to do complex divisions or relocations of animals and property after a team splits.

If a member of your team is no longer a VIP, you should seek staff assistance to claim it (state) and remove the team claim.

Claim Removal

Plots may be removed if players are inactive (no longer a VIP member) for a while.

  • One month (30D) if the plot has no completed structures on it
  • Two months (60D) if the plot has a completed structure on - in case a player wishes to return after a short break
  • No actively donating VIPs will have their claim removed for inactivity - even if they do not play.

Our protocol for plot removal:

  • All animals will be removed unless another player steps forward to claim them (within their limit) in advance!
  • A schematic will be taken of any plots that have a completed structure on.
    • Schematics will be named: playername_mm/yy
    • If requesting your schematic, reference your in-game username. Only the owner can claim that schematic.
    • Schematics will be held for 2 months before being deleted.
  • The plot will be cleared so it can be assigned to another VIP.

To request your schematic please message any Cavalier (mod). Please send a reminder in 5D if you do not get a response.
