Obtaining
Compost
Compost is formed by placing soiled Shavings and manure in Wheelbarrows. When 8 items have been placed into the wheelbarrow, it produces 1 piece of compost.
Wet compost and Compost blocks can be broken back down into compost.
Wet Compost Block
A wet compost block can be crafted with 9 Compost.
Compost Block
A (dried) compost block can be crafted by smelting 1 Wet Compost Block.
Wet compost is cooked in a furnace to make dry compost.
Usage
The different forms of compost can be used in different ways.
- Wet compost can be placed to create muck-heaps for RRP or as a physical storage of compost for use when needed.
- Wet compost is also an efficient way to condense manure for compact storage.
- Compost Blocks cannot be placed but can be used the same as bonemeal to grow grass/flowers or crops (2 blocks = fully grown)
- Compost is an inventory item so cannot be placed but can be used the same as normal minecraft bonemeal.
Currently the balance of compost (bonemeal) makes it far more efficient than to use full compost blocks. However, for players looking to get rid of their acquired compost without wastefully disposing of it, using blocks will do so much quicker.
Known Issues
- [-] Unbalanced values between compost block and compost. Compost can be broken down from both block types at any time.
