Obtaining
Lite does not support converting horses via cantazerite potion - this is only possible in the full SWEM mod.
Horses can be obtained from:
- Natural Spawning CONFIGS LINK
- Breeding TBC
- Spawn Egg
- Command
/swemlite summonto view all valid coat options
Natural Spawns
Naturally spawning horses appear in many overworld biomes with herds of 1-5. Herds uses a single "color tag" (1 of 7 options) and spawn coats that use the chosen tag. This usually results in somewhat similar coat types.
Wild horses are untamed until ridden by a player.
Spawn Eggs
Spawn eggs are a creative menu or command only item. It spawns one horse with a random coat variant and gender.
Summon Command
Lite does not support random coat option via commands. If you require a random option, use spawn eggs.
Summon commands require cheats enabled and relevant user permissions (multiplayer).
- Commands must use a valid coat ID
- Only
swem:IDs are visible if there is no valid community pack loaded - Choosing
MALEorFEMALEis optional. If unspecified it is assigned a random gender.
EXAMPLE: /swemlite summon swem:helios_arishant OR /swemlite summon swem:helios_arishant FEMALE
TBC It is possible to summon a foal via commands - read more.
Appearance
Lite does not include any complex coat genetics, breeds or model variants (custom models excluded).
Horses use one of 100+ default adult coats listed here.
Custom Coats
Community packs do not support foal coats. Default coats can be override via resource packs.
- You can add custom coats directly into the game using a community pack.
- You can override (replace) the default coats using a resource pack.
Behavior
Horses may walk around when not ridden, and will occasionally trigger shake, scratch or tail swish idle animations.
Unlike the "full" Star Worm Equestrian Mod, lite horses do NOT engage in:
- Grazing on grass blocks, grassy plants
- Consuming hay bales or any bale blocks from other mods
- Drinking from water sources or waterlogged blocks
Horses are passive but may retaliate if harmed, or during taming. Bucking horses can cause harm to nearby entities and players.
Fatal "buck offs" can occur if they kick out at another horse (kicks back etc). It's not an "intentional" risk but it can happen!
Gender
Right-click a tamed horse to open the inventory menu. The icon in the bottom right indicates gender and TBC breeding status.
