Obtaining

Crafting
A Halter can be crafted in all 16 base minecraft colors.
Each Halter requires 1 Iron Ingot and 4 Carpets of the Corresponding Color.

Usage

Halters are a cosmetic item for SWEM Horses. 

Right click a tamed SWEM Horse with a blanket in hand to equip it - or open the horse's GUI menu (shift + right click with an empty hand) to place the item in the designated tack spot. The halter uses the same tack slot as the bridle, so both cannot be used at the same time.

The halter can no longer be used interchangeably with a bridle and cannot 'steer' or control the movement of horses. It used to be possible to swap a bridle out for a halter and ride normally in Beta and early release.
