Usage

Currently all Rosettes & Ribbons are non-functional decor items - they cannot be displayed on a horse for now.

Right-click a vertical block surface with a Rosette, Ribbon or Plaque in hand to place it, or a horizontal block surface for Trophies. Awards can be used for many stable decoration and RRP purposes, we suggest:

Naming
You can rename Rosettes, Ribbons, Plaques and Trophies as with any other item in an anvil to denote the event name or placing etc, however this will be reset on placing the item unless it is in an item frame.

Giftbags
When configured to allow specific items, such as Ribbons, the Star Worm Economy Mod can be used to bundle goodies into an award. This is useful for event hosts to package up prizes within an award - on right clicking the winner will receive all items contained within. Read more about giftbags in the SWEconM wiki.

Trivia

Ribbons vary a lot, and there seems to be no concrete standards for coloring or features across all countries, events or disciplines. There was some evidence to suggest a basic color theme (see below) for placing 1-8, though this could be customized by the event hosting organisation, the discipline or even the country it was hosted in (such as USA western events popularly using Red, White and Blue, often with stars). For SWEM, the logical decision for inclusive representation of various sports and specialties was to provide all 16 Minecraft colors as standard for basic tiered Rosettes and Ribbons. It would be impossible to do the same for tri-color champion variants, so two very popular color combinations were selected for these.

Right-click with a bleacher in hand to place. Bleachers function like tiling slabs; on first use will place a slab height block and placing a second on top of that slab will increase it to a full height block. The seat/walkway of the bleacher will always display at the top-most section and any sections underneath will appear as structural supports.

English

English fences come in a single (black & white) color.
4 English fences can be crafted with 3 Planks (any), 2 Sticks and 1 Black Dye.

image-1683773361890.png

Western

Western fences come in 6 Minecraft wood types, plus Whitewash.
8 western fences can be crafted with 6 Planks (chosen wood type), 1 Slab and 1 Stick.

image-1675872934668.png

Pasture

Pasture fences come in 6 Minecraft wood types, plus Whitewash.
8 pasture fences can be crafted with 6 Planks (chosen wood type) and 2 Sticks.

image-1675873052116.png

Usage

SWEM fences are similar to (vanilla) Minecraft fences in all but one way. Just like Minecraft fences, they are technically 1.5b tall, meaning entities cannot step or jump over them. They are recognized as a barrier, so cannot be pathed through and will contain entities within it. Unlike Minecraft fences, SWEM fences can be altered between a full-fence and a half-fence (cut down) state. This cutting down of fences can be achieved using a Fence Tool. This can be used in many ways:

Western Fence
Western fences have a full-height straight panel across the top of it, with two thinner support panels lower on the fence. When a corner is created, western fences have an interesting diagonal post design. Right-click a western fence with a fence tool in hand to cut down.

Pasture Fence
Pasture fences are visually very similar to Minecraft fences, but with slightly sturdier (thicker) panels and a half-fence version. Right-click a pasture fence with a fence tool in hand to cut down.

English Fence
English fences are unlike any other SWEM or Minecraft fence. They have a white-framed panel design with black painted wood bars. They come in edge or connector pieces (no corner) and often require use of the fence tool. English fences are sensitive to direction, so you may need to move around to place the corners in the right direction or use the fence tool:

English fences cannot connect around a corner like normal fences, so a post made from blocks would be recommended for pastures using English fences.

English fences are not 1.5b like other fences, and can be jumped unless designed to be double height.

Friendly Bars

Obtaining

Crafting

Friendly bars come in 3 colors; light (light gray), medium (gray) and dark (black).
32 friendly bars can be crafted with 4 Iron Ingots, 4 Iron Nuggets and 1 Dye of the chosen color, as shown below. Light friendly bars can use either white or light gray dye.

Light Medium Dark

image-1683766670863.png

image-1683766711886.png

image-1683766742980.png

Usage

Friendly bars are primarily for decoration and provide a fun and less prison-y look to bars compared to vanilla versions. They can be used in many ways to decorate your stable or other types of builds. We suggest:

Placement
Like vanilla bars, the shape of friendly bars depends on the blocks surrounding them. If no blocks are adjacent to them, they will have a slender appearance as there is nothing for them to connect to. Friendly bars will connect to full blocks and wall blocks, but do not connect to fences or partial blocks (stairs, slabs) without the use of a debug stick in creative.

Right click the hitching post again to disconnect - the lead(s) will drop on the ground nearby. SWEM hitching posts have a custom connection added, so the loops of custom hitching does not show the vanilla rope knot texture.

Locker

Description: A locker is an inventory item that can hold up to 36 item, split between 2 locker sides.

Tool: Pickaxe (Any)
Blast Resistance: N/A
Hardness: N/A
Luminant: No
Transparent: No
Flammable: No
Flammable (Lava): No

Obtaining

Crafting
Lockers come in a single (silver) color.
2 lockers can be crafted with 4 Iron Nuggets and 2 Chests.

image-1683782330151.png

Usage

Lockers do not have retaining inventories. If broken, all items within will drop (like a vanilla chest).

Place a locker by right clicking against another block - lockers can be placed on the ground, on the wall or on top of other blocks. Lockers take up a single block in height and are 0.5B in depth.

Lockers have two separate sides. Right clicking the left and right sides will open a different inventory. The GUI states 'Left Locker' or 'Right Locker' at the top to indicate which side is being viewed. Each side offers 2 rows (18 slots) to store items in.

image.png

Lock (Restricted Access)
Lockers can be locked to a single player each side by the locker owner.

To lock a locker, rename a nametag in an anvil to the desired player's exact name and place it into the nametag slot in the top right corner of the locker GUI. This name must be correct to capitals and symbols, and the side the nametag is placed into with determine which locker side is locked to the chosen player. To restrict the locker to the owner, follow the same steps, specifying the owner's name instead.

image.png

Known Issue

If you find an issue, please report it to our bugs channel on Discord. We ask that you look to see if your issue was reported first!

We cannot reliably replicate or identify a root cause of the last issue, therefore a fix is unlikely / not possible!

It is strongly recommended that gates (and other multiblock items like stall doors and jumps) are deleted prior to taking a WorldEdit selection to avoid issues. Including jumps and gates etc in WE Schematics can potentially corrupt schematics.

Blast Resistance: N/A
Hardness: N/A
Luminant: No
Transparent: No
Flammable: No

Separators

Description: A separator is a block that can be used for decoration. It comes in 16 colors.

Details:

Renewable: Yes

Stackable:

Yes (64)
Tool: Any
Blast Resistance: N/A
Hardness: N/A
Luminant: No
Transparent: Yes
Flammable: No
Flammable (Lava): No

Obtaining

Crafting
Separators can be crafted in all 16 base minecraft colors.
8 Separators requires 4 Iron Nuggets, 1 Dye of the corresponding color and 1 Stick.

image-1683776302533.png

Usage

Separators can be used for decoration, especially as a stall dividers.

Placement

Separators only join together going in one direction and they do not merge at intersections like fences so they are best used between block or wall posts. Separators do not automatically connect to any adjacent blocks except for other separators of the same color.

image-1683774894273.png

Shown: Separators do not join at L intersections (no corner connections like bars).

Connecting edges

Separators have 4 different block states; rounded edges (both), left edge, right edge and middle section. These can all be toggled with the Fence Tool (right click). This also allows players to 'connect' different color separators together.

image-1683775092761.png

Shown (L-R): Normal separator and separators with edge-changes from a fence tool.

Flight Feather

Description: Flight feather is a magical item obtained from Amethyst Horse Armor.

Details:

Rarity color: Common
Renewable: Yes
Stackable: No
Durability: 40 Uses

Obtaining

Crafting
Flight Feathers come in a single (purple and white) color.
A flight feather can be crafted with (any) Amethyst-tier Horse Armor and Shears.

image.png

This recipe returns the armor and shears as well as yielding a single feather. Horse armor can only be sheared once.

Flight Feathers cannot be crafted if the recipe config is set to permit only creative or commands (disable crafting recipe).

Usage

Right-clicking with a flight feather in hand launches the holder 11 blocks up into the air. Each use has ~15 second cooldown. This cooldown effect is applied across all feathers the player has or picks up.

The flight feather is intended to be combined with Amethyst Riding Boots (slow fall) or Elytra, which will prevent taking fall damage on descent. This quick upwards propulsion could be used to escape from holes, climb sheer terrain faces or scale obstacles as well as make speedy vertical escape from an attack by hostile mob(s) in a survival situation.

Flight feathers have a limited number (40) of uses. The lifespan of feathers can be extended with Unbreaking and Mending enchantments.

Usage

Right-click a vertical or horizontal block with a blanket rack in hand to place. Blanket racks can be mounted on blocks, slabs, fences and wall but look best wall mounted. If placed on a horizontal surface, they will connect to that surface using a different model.

Blanket rack can store up to five blankets and supports dynamic placement (including correct color) on any slot depending on where the item is clicked. Right-clicking an empty blanket rack with a blanket will place it, or remove the current item if occupied. Right-click an item to remove it from the slot.
