Tack Horse tack (equipment the horse wears for riding)! Bridle Description: A bridle is an item that can be placed on tamed SWEM Horses to steer them. It comes in English, Western, and Adventure variants. Details:  Rarity color: Common Renewable: Yes Stackable: Yes (16) Durability: None Obtaining Crafting English Bridle English Bridles come in 2 colors - black and brown. An English Bridle is crafted with 1 Tripwire Hook, 1 Iron Nugget, 2 Refined Leather, and either 1 Black Dye or 1 Brown Dye. Western Bridle Western Bridles come in 16 Minecraft colors. A Western Bridle is crafted with 1 Tripwire Hook, 1 Iron Nugget, 3 Refined Leather, and 1 Corresponding Dye.  A Western Bridle can be redyed with 1 Dye of the chosen color. Adventure Bridle Adventure Bridles come in 1 (brown & gray) color. An Adventure Bridle is crafted with 1 Tripwire Hook, 1 Iron Nugget and 4 Refined Leather. Usage Bridles are part of a tack set required to control (ride) tamed SWEM Horses. Using a bridle is the first tack item that can be used prior to any other tack pieces. It is placed in a slot that is also used by the Halter - both items cannot be used at once.  Right click a tamed SWEM Horse with a bridle in hand to equip it - or open the horse's GUI menu (shift + right click with an empty hand) to place the item in the designated tack spot. If a horse already has a bridle or Halter on, you can easily 'hotswap' it for another by shift + right-clicking with the new bridle in hand. Tack-equip order:  Bridle > Blanket > Saddle > Girth Strap. Optional: Breast collar, Leg Wraps, Horse Armor, Saddle Bag Bridles do not offer any perks or buffs but are required to steer the horse. You can use any bridle with any other riding tack pieces to mix English, Western & Adventure. The only exception is Adventure Bridles require a full matching set to use Horse Armor, but once the armor is put on the bridle can be 'hotswapped' out for different versions. Leading SWEM Bridles have reins that can be used as a normal minecraft lead so never need to worry about forgetting your lead on an adventure. To use the reins as a lead, shift + left click a bridled SWEM Horse with an empty hand - doing so will instantly put them on lead and remove the reins from their neck. To put the reins back over their neck, right click the horse OR shift + left click them again and they will no longer be on a lead. Other Prior to 1.20, Horses cannot eat while wearing a bridle, but can still drink. Hitched horses can do neither interaction. Bridles also prevent the horse from lying down to sleep at night, and wake them up if equipped while they are sleeping. Gallery Shown: Adventure (1) > English (2) > Western (16) variant bridles. It comes in 16 colors of Normal and Armored variants. Obtaining Normal Rarity color: Common Durability: None Renewable: Yes Stackable: Yes (16) Obtaining Crafting Pasture Blankets come in 16 Minecraft colors. A Pasture Blanket is crafted with 1 Dried Kelp and 7 Carpets of the corresponding color. Pasture Blankets can be redyed with 1 Dye of the chosen color. Usage When equipped the Pasture Blanket is a purely cosmetic accessory unless upgraded to an Armored version.  Armored Rarity color: Common Durability: None Renewable: Yes Stackable: No Obtaining Crafting Armored Pasture Blankets come in 16 Minecraft colors. Pasture Blankets (basic) can be upgraded to an Armored Pasture Blanket of the same color with 1 Iron Chestplate. Usage When equipped the Armored Pasture Blanket offers the same protection as Diamond Horse Armor.  Faster Healing Magic Protection: Protection against various AOE or projectile magic damage. Enhanced Frost Walker: Makes it so water turns to ice around a horse - whether they are moving or not! Has a small AOE and will destroy waterlogged plants in their path so they never fall through holes. Removed in 1.20.1-1.3.2 Lava Walker: Makes it so lava turns to magma blocks around a horse - whether they are moving or not! Has a small AOE. Fire Resistance: Horse is immune to all types of fire damage (including Lava + magma blocks). Usage Pasture Blankets are a cosmetic item for SWEM Horses. Armored Pasture Blankets are a welfare-driven (comfort) variation of Horse Armor. Right click a tamed SWEM Horse with a pasture blanket in hand to equip it - or open the horse's GUI menu (shift + right click with an empty hand) to place the item in the designated tack spot. Pasture blankets use the same tack slot as Horse Armor, so both cannot be used at the same time. Pasture blankets cannot be equipped in addition to tack - and are not intended to be used as quarter sheets or any other kind of riding blanket.  Currently, pasture blankets cannot be displayed like some other tack items (the saddle rack, bridle rack or (more appropriately) the horse armor rack). Gallery Shown: Pasture blanket (16) variants. Shown: Armored Pasture blanket (16) variants. Trivia Prior to release, pasture blankets were a often asked for but very uncertain feature, based on the complexity of the model and the importance of doing such an important item justice. It was always hoped that artists would be able to design a 3D model instead of a simple texture overlay. Between this and development time limitations, blankets were not planned until V2.  During the SWEM Team's Queen's Cavalry streams it became apparent that pasture blankets were important in survival modpacks - particularly when emphasizing immersion and welfare standards. Complex PVE modpacks with hostile mods proved a huge challenge to vulnerable and precious pets like horses; they would often be caught in the crossfire or sustain critical damage from things that could easily be prevented with armor. Supporting survival and adventure modpacks has always been core to SWEM alongside the focus on realism and welfare, so a flaw where horses had to be constantly left tacked in heavy armor, kept indoors at all time or simply not used was not an option. AlaharranHonor (Owner) got to work designing a concept blanket from scratch that could work with SWEM horses, refining it into a finished product to be textured by Cytris and coded by Legenden. Details:  Rarity color: Common Renewable: Yes Stackable: Yes (64) Durability: None Obtaining Crafting EQ Shops come in a single (whitewash) color. An EQ Shop is crafted with 4 Stone (any), 4 Emeralds and 1 Chest. Usage EQ Shop does not support purchasing default (core mod) tack at this time, only custom tack added via community packs. Right click an EQ Shop to open the GUI Menu. Place a valid coins type into the slot to display items that can be purchased. Items will display the inventory icon and price (# coins) for any purchases that can be made Hover over items to see information including the item name, credits and inspiration Select the item to move it to the output slot (pre-purchase) Remove the item from the output slot to finalize the purchase Purchases will deduct the displayed price from coins in the input slot Purchases are final and cannot be refunded If no items are displayed, one of the following has occurred: There is insufficient coins to purchase any item (ie input 2 coins but cheapest item is 3 coins) There are no items that can be purchased for that coin type There are no custom tack items installed via community pack  Custom tack items set to use that coin type have invalid or missing files (not registered) Client Side Edits Changes to coin amount Clients (players) can change the purchase cost for their singleplayer use, but this will still visually display on server EQ shops. The price will always be determined by the server files. See Example below. Changes to coin type Clients (players) can change the coin type for their singleplayer use, but this will significantly impact their use on MP servers. The coin type will always be determined by the server files. Shops may display item, but cannot purchase it unless the correct coin type is placed in the menu slot. See Example below. Example: Price Changes Client JSON:  Saddle Name costs 2 Iron Coins Server JSON:   Saddle Name costs 5 Iron Coins On their singleplayer, the client will see that saddle in the shop for 2 Iron Coins. They will pay 2 Iron Coins. On a multiplayer server, the client will see that saddle in the shop for 2 Iron Coins. They will pay 5 Iron Coins. Example: Coin Changes Client JSON:  Saddle Name costs 2 Iron Coins Server JSON:   Saddle Name costs 20 Copper Coins On their singleplayer, the client will see that saddle in the shop for 2 Iron Coins. They will pay 2 Iron Coins. On a multiplayer server, the client will see that saddle in the shop for 2 Iron Coins. They cannot buy the item. Attempting to take the saddle from the right hand slot will be unsuccessful (will reset to how it looked before selecting the item). No money will be taken and no tack is purchased. MC Version Release Notes 1.20.1 1.20.1-1.5.0 Public Release: Added custom tack support, EQ shop and coins. Data values swem:shop Coins Description: Coins are craftable currency that can be exchanged for tack at an EQ Shop. Details:  Rarity color: Common Renewable: Yes Stackable: Yes (64) Durability: None Obtaining Crafting Coins come in seven color / tier variants: Copper, Iron, Emerald, Gold, Diamond, Netherite and Amethyst. Excess coins can be uncrafted to return most of the input resources (requires 4). Usage Place a valid coin type into the input slot of an EQ Shop to display items that can be purchased. The number displayed next to any purchasable items is the cost (# coins to buy) Read the EQ Shop page for further information. If no items are displayed, one of the following has occurred: There is insufficient coins to purchase any item (ie input 2 coins but cheapest item is 3 coins) There are no items that can be purchased for that coin type There are no custom tack items installed via community pack  Custom tack items set to use that coin type have invalid or missing files (not registered) ECONOMY MULTIPLAYER SERVERS Multiplayer Servers Coins do not currently support the swem recipe config to enable or disable coin crafting. If you own or manage an economy driven multiplayer server, you can still adapt this new system to support that. Disable Coin Crafting  Option 1: Disable the recipe entirely via Datapack. Option 2: Replace the recipe to use unobtainable items via Datapack. Option 3: Replace the recipe with an exchange from your currency → coins via Datapack. You will need to provide an alternative source of obtaining coins (ie Simple Shops) or sourcing tack items without EQ shop. Disabling the coin crafting will still allow players to use any coins already in existence and given or sold to them via the server. Disable Coin Uncrafting If you don't allow coin crafting or your chosen method of coin distribution can lead to a resource exploit, you should override it. This will still allow players to use any coins at the EQ shop, but not convert them back into resources. Example If you give players 1 free diamond coin per login, when they have 4 they can uncraft it into diamonds. Customize Coin Crafting If you need to adjust the value of coins you can: Create a datapack to override crafting recipes for coins, with this you can: → Change the value / type of any crafting materials → Change the crafting exchange to convert your currency (ie swecon coins) to swem coins → Change the output to give more or less per crafting Modify JSON files for all items in all installed community packs to preferred pricing → Change the coin tier to purchase → Change the value (# coins) required to purchase Customize Coin Uncrafting If you sell coins to players but want them to be able to refund in the same item / currency, use a datapack. You can set it to refund in full (100% refund) or at a loss (ie 50% refund). Example Buy 4 gold coins for 40 Thyms (2 swecon gold coin) uncrafting yields back only 20 Thyms (1 swecon gold coin) Restrict Purchase If you have tack items that are 'limited edition' or special purchase: Create a datapack and make at least one coin type uncraftable Set any limited edition or special tack items to require that coin at an EQ shop This will still allow players to use any coins sold or given to them (or previously crafted) at the EQ shop.
