#### **Obtaining**

##### Natural Generation

Shining Amethyst Shards can be obtained from [clusters](https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Amethyst_Cluster) that occur naturally in [Amethyst Geodes](https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Amethyst_geode?so=search).

- Clusters grow on [Budding Amethyst](https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Budding_Amethyst) blocks, and only become "shining" on **full** growth.
- Clusters have 25% chance to be shining and 75% default [Amethyst](https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Amethyst_Cluster).
- Shining Amethyst clusters have a subtle blue coloring.

##### Mineral Bonemeal

`Right Click` a [Budding Amethyst](https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Budding_Amethyst) or [Amethyst Cluster](https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Amethyst_Cluster) with [Mineral Bonemeal](https://wiki.swequestrian.com/books/star-worm-equestrian-lite/page/mineral-bonemeal) to increase spawns and growth.

##### Regrowth

[Budding Amethyst](https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Budding_Amethyst) will slowly [regenerate](https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Budding_Amethyst#Growing_into_amethyst_clusters) new clusters when players are nearby to load the chunks.

Shining Amethyst Shards can be used in an anvil to repair Amethyst equipment, including any tier of Riding Boots.
